Capture Fit in Solid Edge ST6
This video shows you to assemble similar type of parts quickly in Solid Edge ST6.
- Open assembly file. Assemble top cap & body with two square bolts.
- Easy navigation to open the relevant folder. First select the bolt part.
- Drag and drop the selected part into the graphic window.
- Place the part in the assembly using the mate and axil align command.
- Select bolt part, drag & drop into the graphic window to place in the assembly using a mate and axil align.
- First select the bolt part.Drag and drop the selected part into the graphic window.
- Place the part in the assembly using the mate and axil align command.
- Select the bolt & click capture fit option from radial menu or command bar.
- Place the same bolt on the other side. This should be easier after using the capture fit option.
- Select washer part. Drag & drop it into the graphic window to place in the assembly using a mate and axil align feature.
- Select the washer & click capture fit option from command bar.
- Place the same washer on the other side.
- This should be easier after using the capture fit option.
- Select hexagonal nut part.
- Drag & drop it into the graphic window to place it in the assembly using a mate and axil align feature.
- Select the hexagonal nut part & click capture fit option from command bar.
- Place the same hexagonal nut on the either side which should be easier after using capture fit option.
